I wouldn't know about that. Maybe it could be possible to intercept the
signal, but I think for that to make any meaningful hacking it would have
to be some damn clever equipment + user, in which case there would probably
be a gazillion better ways to find out what I type and where I click.

The one I have (I have the same unit at home as well) uses radio signal, so
no l-o-s required. At work I have the receiver behind a monitor, and at
home it's stickered under the desk. Works a treat.

Well, I haven't had any problems with them. The mouse starts moving a bit
jerky when the batteries are going, but just replace them at the first
sight of strange behaviour and that's it. Mine have a USB connector, no
drivers or nothing, so pretty hassle-free (at least in W2k).
