MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05
 
      Title: Chicken Cheese Chowder^
 Categories: Crs97, Soups
      Yield: 6 Servings
 
      1 c  Shredded carrot
    1/4 c  Chopped onion
      4 tb Butter
    1/4 c  Flour
      2 c  Milk
  1 3/4 c  Chicken broth
      1 c  Diced cooked chicken
      1 tb Dry white wine or vermouth
    1/2 ts Worcestershire sauce
    1/2 ts Celery seed
      1 c  Shredded cheddar cheese
 
  Saute carrot and onion in butter until tender. Blend in flour, add
  milk and broth. Cook, stirring, until thick and bubbly. Stir in
  chicken, wine, Worcestershire, and celery seed; cook until heated
  through.
  
  Just before serving, add cheese and heat until melted.
  
  Makes 6 servings
