That's a strange message, AFAIK all EMS emulators put the cpu into V86 mode...

you'll never get real mode while wndows 3(386ENH) or greater (95/98/NT) is
running, you may need a new copy of GO32- check with DJ Delorie (of DJGPP
fame) I don't know the address.
