subject: Big probs with peer network

I'm having some seriously frustrating problems with my peer network... I
don't know what happened to mess things up, but I had a nice big crash when
trying to use OpenChat/2 while sending mail packets over the internet with
T-Mail/2 and Vmodem, and since I rebooted from the TRAP error it hasn't
worked. I even reinstalled the protocols/MPTS support on the pentium (the
system affected). No changes have been made to the other workstation (the
Compaq).
No errors come up when the Compaq logs into the Pentium on the peer network.
The drive icons show up as network drives, however, when before they looked
like local drives (these drives being on the pentium). When I try to do an
icon view, there are "no objects", so I know it's not reading the drives. I
think they show up as network drives simply because they're defined in the
shares.
On the pentium, however, I can only do a local login to the pentium. I get a
popup error message about how one of my connections has failed, and no new
drive objects pop up so it hasn't logged into the compaq at all. Even after
the reinstall of MPTS it does the same thing. I'm at a total loss here..
The only thing I can think of is perhaps there are open files or locked files
somewhere? But I don't even know where/how to check for those.
Any help would be *seriously* appreciated...
