Exactly. I think he genuinely doesn't know what constitutes a
valid test, rather than deliberately lying out of zealotry, but
it's hard to be sure.

BG> Not categorically, but given my limited

RS> You can also say that you dont have adequate data to make your claim.
RS> Thats ALL we are saying. Its quite possible that with an M34F at BOTH

EXACTLY!!! Bill, take note. Neither of us are saying that the
Courier is not best with poor lines, we DON'T KNOW. We don't
even have a known bad line even! All we are asking is that
instead of making grandiose claims that "The USR is better on bad
lines", you instead say "When calling with a USR Sporster V34, I
have most success when calling another USR". Simple, truthful,
and no grandiose claims. Understand now?

BG> If somebody wants to provide me with one, I'd be MORE than happy to.

RS> The most obvious candidate is the begley. You two swap modems, then you
RS> can use an M34F for a while. It would also be interesting to see if he
RS> sees any handshaking failures when calling Pauls M34F too, using your USR.

Actually, that's a good idea. It would mean the test would be more
than a week, probably 6 months instead, but when you come down to
Sydney next Bill, couldn't you swap modems with David, and then next
time someone (e.g. Anthony) goes up to Qld for a root, you can swap
them back. The 6 months is the fallback position if no-one goes up
to Qld, and we have to wait for you to come back to Pearl again.

BFN. Paul.
