I dont know what they are now-a-days.  I seem to remember something in the

order of a little over a volt. But that was in the days of valve amplifiers

and co-axial cables to Melbourne. "250mV" signal would be swamped in the

white-noise level of your average line. Perhaps there's a techo with more

up-to-date knowledge than either of us possess out there who would care to

BUTT in?
