Replying to a message of Gerard Gerritsen to Erik Huelsmann:
Hello Gerard!
GG> Saturday August 10 1996, Erik Huelsmann writes to Geir_Eivind Mork:
GG> [ VIO..]
EH>> Yes it is. It was considered obsolete when introducing PM/WPS, but I
EH>> think they reconsidered that. Anyway, because it was obsolete they
EH>> never made a 32-bit api for it, since nobody was supposed to use it
EH>> anyway...
GG> There is a 32 bits api for VIO by now. ( on DevCon, though it is still
GG> a wrapper now )
Much later, when it became obvious people were still writing VIO apps and
the need for a VIO api existed on OS/2 PPC, they redecided, they made a
32-bit api. But they didn't at first.
Bye, Erik!
