Hello, Wayne. -=> WAYNE CHIRNSIDE wrote to CHARLES ANGELICH <=- WC> Took two years to emerge. My guess - - if some of your health probs are caused by mold, I'd think that the AC is a more probable culprit than mold on the walls. Conditions on the evaporator fins and in the condensate collection pan can get _quite_ disgusting. WC> Donna however doesn't seem to grasp the consequences of black WC> mold. I think it won't be a minor annoyance if you end up with permanent hearing loss. I think a lot of things can cause tinnitus, but inflammation and swelling usually indicate some sort of infection. I'd strongly recommend a visit to the doc's office sometime soon, rather than a possible side-track of self-diagnosis and internet research. While I'm passing out free medical advice, (prolly worth about what you paid for it), from recent postings and emails, it is clear you are also losing your near-vision. If your distance vision is still OK, you may simply be developing presbyopia, for which I know great relief can be had by buying reading glasses. Since I break expensive glasses fairly often, I now get cheap readers from Walgreens, where they sometimes have a 2-for-1 sale. I get two pair - - one for arms-length "computer distance" and a stronger pair for closer focus. I supplement with mag glass when needed. Just like you, I can't read the jumpers on a modem without using either the readers or a mag-glass. I started having to use readers when about 45, and have needed progressively stronger lenses over the 15 years since. First symptom was that by the time I held something far enough away to focus on it, I couldn't read the small print. Eyesight is another area where I think a self-diagnosis may not be too advisable, as there are other eye conditions which can be a lot more serious than my presbyopic "old eyes." Good luck. - - - JimH. ...
