There is nothing for me to gain by calling the county recorder.  There *was* 
something to be gained by calling Disney when I called.  What I gained was 
correct knowledge about a certain aspect of copyright law.  but frankly, 
unlike obtaining *that* knowledge, calling your county would yield no 
valuable knowledge in an academic sense, so why should I bother?  If you're 
real, you are.  If you're not, you're not.  It makes no differense to me.
