You asked what is the difference between a 50 and a 10 channel veras a 100 ch 
saywith 12 bands. Well between a 10-50 ch scanner is were to enter your 
favator reqon and with the 100-200 or 400 ch scannes have bandsor groups of 
0
to 40 ch pure band or one way to break down your scan.So you say you have 
police feq on one band and CB's on another and so on and so on ok. ASfor a 
scanner it depends on the PRO-type some scan for 29-512mhz or 30-512 the 
bigger scanner say like the PRO 2006 scans from 25-512 and come back in at 
760-1300mhz.$2400.00 or more. So I hope this info. help you
