I thought regular season average attendance and ratings were up in 1996
following the strike season. Nevertheless, I find this a logical
non-sequitur -- I don't see interleague play as a fix for this. If there
are fans who won't go see (or watch on TV) a Dodgers-Giants game, is it
really likely that the same fan is going to turn on or attend a
Dodgers-Angels game? I'm not convinced.
