I tried two different methods;
(1) pktinfo ~/janis/out/b9024b00.pkt;
pktinfo/lnx 1.4.0-sta 16-02-06
Pkt-Name: /home/tothings/janis/out/b9024b00.pkt
OrigAddr: 1:261/38.9
DestAddr: 1:261/38.0
pkt created: Sat Jul 15 14:56:07 2006
pkt Password:
prodCode: 10ff
prodRevision 1.4
----------------------------------------
Msg: 261/38 -> 261/38
(2) cat ~/janis/out/b9024b00.pkt | ./pktview;
Version:2+
From: 1:261/38.9 16/7/2006 14:56:7
To : 1:261/38.0
Prodcode : 4351 (1.4)

On Linux you can use 'strings' directly on raw pkts which won't give you
any stats but you will be able to view the messages.
As for the hpt stuff I'll use this reply as a test and follow it up in the
next message. Please stay tuned.
Life is good,

I see quite a few scripts under the misc/ directory of the hpt source one
of which is (2). Not that pktinfo seems to have missed the "{at}MSGID:
1:261/38.9 44b901df" of that particular message. I am guessing that
one of the scripts in misc/ might be what you're looking for. Not having
written any of them I don't know what they do or why I may want any of them
but you might.
Life is good,
Maurice
