It is also used in the Film Industry. It usualy referes to the "White"
light temperature. And it is expressed in Deg K
As an example my perfered Cool White Fluroscent Lamps are rated at 4100K
Even most Home Incidencent Lamps have a "Temperature Rating" on the Box.
