  I'd rather not - he'll only start talking about trellis codes when

  Did you notice the Courier/Courier stats published by Bill and
Russell, where they gave a 6dB stronger RX level? This must mean that
the remote modem is transmitting 6dB more... and we are only talking
about an extra *2dB* for NetComm!

  I think I may know the Courier secret on marginal lines... more volts.
