Sorry. I once had that problem. With a 4dos.ini left from the time when I  
switched from ndos and had int in my path. Then decided to have separat  
directories for each component and version, but stepped into the trap of  
getting a wrong 4dos.ini when not using the "location od ini-file" directive  
in the shell statement.

That's what I did, but didn't knew that the 4dos.ini was taken from the first 
 
in the path and not from the directory where 4dos is started from if the  
parameter is ommitted.

Here they arived in reverse order, as you by now may have recognized reading  
my answers.
What I have seen by now, there isn't a mistake to stupid. You (or anybody  
else including me) stumbles into all traps a software sets up. Even if you  
wrote it yourself or especially when you did.
