-> TW> It is also used in the Film Industry. It usualy referes to -> TW> the "White" light temperature. And it is expressed in Deg K -> TW> As an example my perfered Cool White Fluroscent Lamps are -> TW> rated at 4100K Even most Home Incidencent Lamps have a -> TW> "Temperature Rating" on the Box. -> How many people look for 'temperature' when they purchase a -> bulb? At least ONE, ME. It is related to Brightness. The higher the Color Temperature the Brighter the bulb appears. Some look at it because of other factors. As an example in a Dentists office they look for a particualr color temperature in their lighting to properly match teeth coloring when setting you up for Dentures or Caps. -> I realize that the decision to apply 'temperature' to color was -> not made here at FIDO but reasonable people can grasp the fact -> that there is no 'temperature' that would apply to color in any -> meaningful way. -> Sorry but this is what we used to call poppy-cock. -> I reserve the right to reject nonsensical terminology. Actualy it is a Standard Scientific Term and is Well founded in Theroy. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Shakey Jake's *ALL FREE BBS* Santee, CA (1:202/1324) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 202/1324 10/3 106/2000 633/267 |
