AI> 2. Once a year, as close to mid-October as practical, an election is
AI> held for the Moderator of FN_SYSOP. Upon completion of this
AI> election, the former moderator turns the password for the elist
AI> robot over to the new moderator and yields the position. If a
AI> moderator is unable to complete his or her term, he or she may name
AI> a replacement to finish the term, revealing the elist password to
AI> the replacement moderator. Should a moderator disappear from the
AI> conference without leaving a successor, a replacement moderator may
AI> be chosen by the sysop participants to serve until the next regular
AI> election. Though the Elist Keeper may not be bound by echo
AI> conference rules, he is specifically requested to facilitate access

LOL! Almost a verbatim similarity to the rules that Janis "wrote" for that
other echo. I wonder why nobody discovered the huge mistake already then.

The above must be from the turn of the century. In 2002 a vast majority (I
even got votes from all six zones -- something that TTBOMK never had happened
before and with absolute certainty never can happen again) in FN_SYSOP voted
for the new rules that has been posted every month there since then.
