Just 4.5 to 5.0 is all I've been through. (plus fixes of course.) Went
smooth as silk, but when I did it, it was on OS/2. The move to the AS/400
was just moving all the data basically as it was the same version as the
OS/2 server.

The trick is to copy all the old desktop files into the 5.0 install before
you start it up the first time. (all the files with the latest usage date
basically, just copy and overwrite is what I do, and have done since 4.5.)

Now you're making me jealous again. :(
