Ryan, I certainly appreciate you not trying to control every facet of my
life. I doubt that I would appreciate you preparing a budget for my family,
especially if it contained certain amounts for the alcohol and drug habits of
people who don't work. You can take this however you wish, I really don't
care. It is my opinion that alcohol and drugs cause absolute misery and are
probably responsible for putting many of those street people where they are.
This is probably the secret of their demise, and it's really not much of a
secret. Why would I wish to buy more of the poison for them. The poison has
probably ruined their marriages, caused them to lose their jobs, caused their
children to hate and disown them, and caused them to waste large portions of
their lives in slavery to a bottle or their next fix. I really feel sorry for
these people, and I refuse to help them heap more misery on themselves. They
rob themselves of the best things in life, and the things I am talking about
have nothing to do with class, race, or status.
Do you really think that it helps a street person when you buy alcohol or
dope for them? You want to talk about class all of the time, so let's do it.
Street people are probably on the very bottom end of the totem pole when you
discuss class issues. Would you wish to keep them there and help them
continue their misery by buying alcohol and dope for them? Do you feel better
about yourself, knowing about their slavery? Do you wish to keep them in
slavery, or do you think it would be possible to help them out of slavery? If
you really wanted to help them, food and shelter would be the first things
necessary for survival, but that might not be enough to help them escape
their slavery. Instead of buying alcohol and dope for them, why don't you
consider paying for a haircut, putting them in some decent clothes, and
trying to help them get a job? Would there be anything wrong with trying to
get them into some sort of substance abuse program and encouraging them to
break free of their slavery? In my opinion, buying alcohol and dope for these
folks is just like rubbing salt in an open wound, you do nothing but help
them stay in slavery and misery. I think that only a REAL CLASSIST would help
someone stay in slavery and misery.
