Hi Benjamin! BS> CN> Bought a new computer and transferred telemate over to it and all BS> CN> appears to be working fine except...... the stupid little song or ell BS> CN> that plays when connecting or finished a download. BS> This is selected by TMINST.EXE -> Alarm Song. Highlight the song you want BS>press [Enter], then [Esc] to abort the silly thing. Then hit [Esc] again, a BS>backtrack out of TMINST. Be sure to "Save" your options to disk when exitin BS> Also check that these are above 0 (I use 90 for both): BS> Telemate -> Options -> Alarm Sound BS> Telemate -> Options -> Alarm Time BS> CN> Have a soundblaster pro installed. Where in the heck do I find the BS> CN> area to fix this?? BS> If you want, you can have your SB play an external file when the alarm BS>sounds. This is done by Telemate -> Options -> External Alarm. When checke BS>this causes Telemate to shell and run TMALARM.BAT whenever the alarm sounds. BS>This is covered more completely in the docs (hint, hint :), but basically yo BS>put a WAV or VOC or MOD player in TMALARM, and you can have whatever you wan BS>as an alarm sound. Cool, no? :) Okay, I am not as stupid as I thought. I have done all of the above and even downloaded Telemate again and reinstalled it and the bell still wont work. Could an irq conflict with the soundblaster cause the music to stop?? Thanks for your help! BS>... I have enough trouble single-tasking!
