You miss the whole point Sen. Faircloth was making.
I'd agree with you that a southern accent is as much a "language" as
"Ebonics" is (meaning I believe _neither_ is a language distinct from
English), but neither Sen. Faircloth nor anyone else is seeking bilingual-ed
funds for it!
