Not been there, partly because I quit using anything but DFSee a long
time ago. Deleting and creating partitions with DFSee by default does
only one thing - adding/deleting the partition table entry - which is
not the usual case with other partitioning software, with which deleting
generally means data destruction. With DFSee, your original predicament
would have been solved by doing the following (assuming you unplugged
the power from the 36G drive):

	disk 2 		#chooses the good drive to act upon
	clone -disk:1	#copies all sectors from disk 1 to current disk
