AFAIK you need to have two files. However, you don't need to *maintain* two
files. Write a small util to read the \TOOLKIT\IPFC\APSYMBOL.APS (or the
one for your codepage) and replace each occurance of a symbol with the it's
symbolic name. Then just add it you your makefile.
