Hi Bonnie,

I bought the Kenwood amp used, without a manual, and all I have are
some old buyers guides with some specs, which I keep so I have some
idea of what I'm getting when I come across older used equipment. Going
from memory, I don't remember the ads from that time period (85)
mentioning that special speakers were needed to use this special
feature, but if I was sure I wouldn't have asked. :) I can't find an
old ad for this specific amp, but I do remember seeing the ads at one
time, I just never thought I would own one. :)
I bought this Kenwood power amp for my bedroom system, to replace the
larger Kenwood power amp that I moved to my surround sound system for
the sub woofers. I have the matching Kenwood pre-amp, from that same
series, on the bedroom system, so it seemed like a good match when I
came across the power amp used, at just the time I needed an amp.
My newer Yamaha surround system has me spoiled though, and the bedroom
system isn't used as much as I had expected it to be, even though it
used to be my main system. Hopefully I can eventually find somebody
that remembers how to hook up the Sigma drive feature on the Kenwood
Basic M1 power amp, anybody else have any ideas?
