Some of these single board cameras have IR LEDs so they can work in darkness. Is there any need for IR filters on a B&W camera as there is no colour balance to worry about? They are ideal for a cheap monitoring system use a PIR movement detector and some electronics to switch on the VCR and you can record who enters an area.
