 Yes it is. But the bright side if there is one is that The Initial
Price is cheaper and typicaly they last longer so no repairs might be
needed unless you keep something far more then the average person. 
In fact one of the Biggest sucker plays in Business nowdays is the
Extended Warranty. It is like gambiling in a Casino. The ODDS are tilted
quite a bit in THEIR favor.
