BK>BK>> EV> The Network Card is a old 10 Mc/s card. BK>BK>> Don't know, but please keep us advised on the progress. BK>BK>> What are the specs on the 486? BK> EV> Thanks Bob for the reply. BK> EV> The 486 has a DX2-66 CPU, 32 MB RAM. BK> EV> It was built for me in 1994 with a DX33 CPU and updated to BK> EV> the DX2-66 later. BK> EV> The Shuttle motherboard has a AMI BIOS (non-flashable). BK> EV> I use it for DOS and Windows 3.1. BK> EV> The DOS is PC-DOS v7.0 BK> EV> Do You need anything else? BK> Sounds pretty good. Plain old fashioned 32 pin ram? I have some BK> recycled ECC ram. BK> Also, can't recall the socket type, but there were two types. BK> One just fit the 486 with the same number of pins as the chip, BK> the other had an extra row of pins that surrounded the chip. Do BK> you know what you have? Thanks Bob, I don't need any ram, 32MB is max for the Motherboard. I think it came out before ECC was offered. Its' just plain old SIMMs. All I guess I need is a Driver for the Network Card. It is a 10 Mc. ISA card. The card is made by SMC in 1992. * SLMR 2.1a #T348 * You NEVER want to shake hands with Mr. Electricity!! --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Doc's Place BBS Fido Since 1991 www.docsplace.tzo.com (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 123/140 500 379/1 633/267 |
