You also referenced his post to Ceppa.  Since it cannot be the "no cussing"
rule (it didn't exist yet!), was there a rule that Stan cannot insult Dan
and Otto because he has insulted them elsewhere?  Does that go both
directions?  He did not import a specific thread or issue from another
echo, which is what your 1/20/09 warning seemed to relate to.  And then you
followed that up with advising that Stan not engage Otto in any posts
without advising Otto of the same.

Now take a look at the Sauer post to Ceppa that Stan was responding to.  He
accuses Stan of acting in a "knee-jerk" fashion by defending the Catholic
Church against charges of "molesting priests."  Why? 
"Naturally," simply
because he is Catholic.  And he accuses Ed of defending Mormons on all
matters "no matter how silly," simply because of being a Mormon.

So if I am following you on this, you are defending the position that Dan
and Sauer were NOT attacking anyone's religion in a direct manner so as to
offend or agitate?  And you believe that the Sauer comments about Ed and
Stan have no basis at all in any desire Sauer might have to use the echo as
a battleground against them?

[As a sidenote, WHERE WAS this defense of molesting priests that Sauer
spoke of?  In what thread did Stan make any such defense?  Sure looks like
a "battleground" comment based on Sauer's pre-existing animosity.]

But you believe that Stan's responses to Dan and to Sauer, responses to
what they ACTUALLY DID SAY in that echo, were based in matters outside the
echo?  I'd really like to figure this out before I post much in there. 
Looks tricky.
