G'day all, I've been having some troubles getting Windows and OS/2 networked
together properly. First a rundown of the hardware/software:
BBS machine
486DX4/100 (16MB)
1.6G Maxtor
10Mbps 3COM Etherlink III
OS/2 v3 Connect (I've also tried Merlin a few times)
My workstation
Pentium 133 (48MB)
2.5G maxtor
10Mbps 3COM Etherlink III
Windows95B
I share a directory on the OS2 box, and map it to a drive letter on the
Win95 box (eg. N:). And here lies the problem - I can't use ANY DOS based
utilities (Pkunzip, Norton Commander etc) to create subdirectories more than
one level deep (eg. N:\NEW\NEW) without updating the share on the OS2 box
after each new directory, but I can use either the GUI or the prompt itself
(md new, cd new, md new) to create directories (OS2 to OS2 and Win to Win
also works fine obviously).
Is this a known problem? Can someone who has an extra PC with '95 or NT on it
try it on their LAN?
Thanks all.
