i've stopped sorting all my message bases many years ago... i prefer to
have the messages in order as my uplink sends them... reordering your bases
might cause you to miss some messages that get "folded in" when
then come after the date they are written...

i used FMail when it first came out waaaay back when from the original
author... without it, our system would not have joined fidonet without more
long hard battling being done... battling with software for importing and
exporting messages... the tools we had would work going one way but not the
other... so redo them for the other and now they don't work for the
first... after weeks of going around with it, FMail was released and found
it's way to our doorstep... we've been in fidonet since that day and even
voted in the P4 process :)
