BG>-> Bass Hounds!? I suddenly feel like the mouse who couldn't roar! I
BG>-> admit I do have a 'tin' ear, but I know what I like. That hard
BG>-> thumping bass that shakes every bone in your body feels soooo
BG>-> good, it makes me all squishy inside! But then, I suppose those hi
BG>-> pitched ultra-sonic whistles do the same for you and you don't see
BG>-> me calling you a 'hound' of any sort!
I hear what you're saying! I don't have a tin ear in the least, but I
am definitely one who can enjoy a serious bass line now and again. But
in the line of a true audiophile, bass has its place.
I don't understand what these "home-e-o-philes" have against trying to
accomplish decent sound in the most adverse environment ever made. :)
It takes much more time, effort and a certain flair to achieve a sound
that is tolerable, let alone "sounds good" in a car. Fear not, I like
home audio too....but as far as I can see...plop a pair of speakers in
the livingroom, sit between them and crank it up! There's good home
audio. A car poses far more challenge than that! :) :)
I consider myself to be a purist as far as sound goes. My car is
packing about 700 W RMS right now...mostly because I desire the headroom
that only considerable power can deliver...not the bad-sounding,
headache-causing sound it is also capable of. But you all know how it
goes. Cause my car packs some wicked punch, I must be a
"flapper"....ahh well, I don't mind being labelled! Just don't let me
know where you live...I might find reason to take a slow drive down your
street at 3:00 am, playing track 9 on TechMaster Bass Computer (a
classic headache causer). You'll know me then! :) :)
I'm only kidding....lata.
