I want to share with you all a little story about what has happened in my 
school district.
About a week and a half ago, my son came home in tears, he has ADD.  Seems as 
though his teacher singled out the two ADD children in her class and asked 
them to sign a contract that they would be good for the week or there would 
be no Valentines party for them.  Only these two children were presented with 
the contract.  Jon refused to sign it.
Well, it seems to me that this is discrimination and singles out the ones 
with ADD.  My son felt very humiliated and degraded.  If the other children 
are so good then they have nothing to loose by also signing the contract.  I 
spoke with the teacher about this and she refused to budge.  I then took it 
to the prinicpal and she also refused to change anything.  Towards the end of 
the conversation she said, that Jon would be welcome to come and sit in her 
office to keep her company while the party was going on.  I told her that 
would be more humiliating, nothing against her but to a child it is 
humiliating to have to go to the principals office.  I told her I would be 
keeping Jon out of school that day to save him the humiliation.
Well, needless to say it seems as though Jon got the last laugh.  The man 
upstairs decided it was time for a big snow storm.  Guess what, the school 
closed due to the storm on Valentines day.  Guess no one has the party.
Sometimes God does work in mysterious ways.
