There are multiple problems with those poll statements.
First off, they are a snapshot in time right now. Trump is the
presumptive GOP nominee and the Democratic nominee is still up in the
air. Once the Dem nominee is decided the polls will definitely shift
(but in what direction?).
Second, I believe that they are polls of the national popular vote --
which is not the important thing in electing the next president. What
is important is the Electorial College votes. I have not yet seen any
careful analysis based on those Electorial votes. There are some
states that will vote Dem and others that will vote GOP. Only the
"Swing" states really matter in that analysis.
