If you have the wfc screen on your terminal, you can press  to start a
poll immediately..

Check your bcfg4  Global ->General (there are 2 logs there, IIRC) and
also check Local -> General -> Logfile  - here's what I have there:
  Logfile: /home/bbbs/main/log#
# Generates a log for each node.
