Neither did many people on this echo, but most of them
have heard of Ange and many have their records. I
remember in the 70's you could go into large numbers of
record stores in the US and buy Ange records, since they
were widely imported. Back in the 70's any decent
self-respecting record store had an import bin, which was
usually dominated by progrock, since prog tended to be
bigger in other countries, especially Europe, and the
best stuff was usually on imports. Better pressings, too.

Like I said, you may have over-estimated his expertise.
Different people have different areas of specialty. I
don't ask my dentist for investment advice.

Most pop music in France is absolute crap. For some
reason it seems to be mostly directed to very immature 12
year old girls. However, there was some really decent
stuff done in the 70's with prog. France gave us zeuhl
music for which we must be grateful (I bet you know lots
of people who have never heard of zeuhl music, eh? :-) )
Also, Quebec had a really strong prog scene in the 70's,
most of them remaining unknown outside of Quebec but a
few, such as Maneige, were widely imported to the US.

Hey, you still forgetting to put the smileys at the end,
George?
Of course, the most well-known prog band from Greece was
Aphrodite's Child, whom I'm sure many of your most
intimate acquaintances have never heard of, but their
keyboard player was named Vangelis, which may be vaguely
familiar.
GE> * OLX 2.1 TD * If you don't know the right way, fake it.
I knew you were being sarcastic even without the smileys
since you appeared to be discussing a prog band,
something you seem otherwise incapable of doing. ;-)
I knew it had to be too good to be true.....
Cheers,
Kenneth
