BA> I am here! I have never posted to this echo, but poke around in it
 BA> once in a while.
Good to hear Bill!
BA> Where do you ride, what kind of bike?
I ride up hear in British Columbia, Canada. I like to ride the double
track mostly, as the single track becomes stressful at times. You have
more space to work with with the double track...know what I mean?
As for my bike...check out my message to Ron...it'll tell you what you
want to know.
BA> Before it left the shop, I had them upgrade the 'low end' Shimano
BA> Alivio components to Deore-LX (not TOP 'o the line, but close at the
BA> time). I also had them install a Rock Shox Quad 21r on front...
Sounds good...the old silver 21r or the new yellow ones?
BA> Skipping over the V-brakes, and upgrading my diacomp-7 levers and
BA> Deore-LX cantis to (hold on to your wallets!)
Skipping the V's eh? Hrumph!
BA> !! Magura Hydraulics !! The Tomac model to be more precise.
I test rode the mags before going to V-Brakes myself...they are a VERY
good brake, don't get me wrong! But I found them heavy and the 'feel'
just wasn't right...guess it's just personal preferance.
BA> Now if I can get my L_A_Z_Y butt off this chair, out of the computer
BA> room, and onto my BIKE things should really get exciting once again...
Heh heh....If this damn snow and cold weather would go away, I'd could be
out there more myself!
