Hello Donald,
For a starter program, most any of the programming languages are more
than adequate, but for simplicity, Basic seems to be the easiest. I
started out several years ago on a Compaq Plus 8088/4.77, 10 meg HD, a
single 5.25" 360k floppy and monochrome monitor package. I purchased
QuickBASIC v4.50 and also PowerBASIC (don't remember version) and began
there. Granted, drive space was at a premium, that didn't stop me nor
should it you... There are tons of add-ons to every language out there,
just pick one and start there. I still consider myself a beginner and
have much to learn too. This echo as is the QuickBASIC echo are good
places to get tips and hints from...most persons that read these are
always helping the newcomers... I think you'll find that true as time
goes by... Good Luck....
Regards,
Dan
