Binkd runs on linux and fmail and some other fido utils run on a virtual WinXP on the same machine. I use 'exec' in the binkd config to run a script that backups every incoming file. exec "/home/fido/bin/cp2bck.sh *F" * This script also updates a log file. The change of the log file is detected on the WinXP side to start my toss batch file... But I also run my toss batch file from my editor startup script, and from an hourly maintenance batch file. As a redundancy measure I suppose...
