Hi Susan,
How to space your words so they are centered. Well let's see if I can tackle
this one!
"I" is a single letter, so let's say you make the middle of the letter I
six holes long and the top and bottom one hole on either side. So that makes
the
letter I three holes (spaces) wide. Count the total number of holes(spaces)
across the bookmark and place the letter I in the three center ones.
"Love" is four letters and three spaces.
L would be three spaces. One long 6 holes for the l and two to the right for
the _ part. 3 holes big.
leave one hole for space
O would be sorta a square three holes across and 6 down. Make the corners
diagonals instead to make it look rounder. /-\
 Again leave a space

V would be three spaces.... \/ Then straight up 4 holes on each side..so you
have used up another 3 holes.
Again leave a hole(space)
E would be 6 holes up for the back and two top, middle and bottom to the
right.
Now lets see Total holes used for the work Love.... Three for each of the
letters that is twelve holes plue three for spaceing that makes it 15 total
holes. I'd put LO on the left side of the I and VE on the right with the
space between the O and V where the body of the I is.

YOU is 11 work ..... Put the center of the O on the same place you placed the
I
and then the Y U on either side.
You have to decide how wide your letters are going to be before you can
center them.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for the floss!
Gail
