VK> In this day and age of music I tink we spend to much time
wondering if the music is Progressive than just letting it
be what it truely is; wonderful music. I feel that the man
the truely exemplify's Prog. Rock is no other than the Late
     Bob Marley.

And as Jamaica is my native country (true, BTW) I feel
that Bob Marley truly exemplifies country music. And
since many of his songs are classics, he also exemplifies
classical music. However, I think it's fair to say that
he never exemplified punk music, even though he did use
sticks of flamable material called "punk" to light his
spliffs some times. Such a leap of logic would be
        untenable. :-)

Seriously, though, as a Jamaican I think of Marley as a
national hero and I do adore his music but I'm afraid we
would have to take any further discussion of him over to
the _CD_ECHO_ as he is off-topic here.

I'm afraid there's not much reggae related stuff that
could be discussed here. Perhaps some of the more cosmic
acid dub that came out of England in the 80's. That stuff
really influenced Ozric Tentacles and some of the other
        current psychedelic bands.

Then there was Gentle Giant's atrocious attempt at reggae
"Take it Back" which was in 17/4 or some such ridiculous
        time sig.

                                Cheers,
                                Kenneth
