Got it. I was wondering what os2286.lib is for.

Your example compiles and executes perfectly under emx/gcc, after I
commented out this line: #define USE_OS2_TOOLKIT_HEADERS
It still crashes under BCOS2. It only crashes if I try give it a
command line parameter to set the title with. I'll keep trying, but I'm
beginning to think it may be a Borland bug. .
