In theory, you're supposed to.... however, I have heard the horror stories
involved. Once siezed, it's almost impossible to get back, and if you DO
get it back, it's takes a very lengthy time (years).

One could always fight it, but it's not like "personal injury"
cases that lawyers take on here for nothing down. The Ambulance chasers
take those cases because it's known that over 99% of the time the cases
are settled out of court and their paid. In the case of seized money (by
local, state, or federal entities) you will HAVE to go to court, 100% of
the time. The lawyers aren't taking these cases with payment upon
settlemnet... you have to pay up front. In many cases, the people who had
money "siezed" want their "wad" because that is what
they had... no money left to pay a lawyer to take the case.

You would THINK that if somebody was accused of wrong doing, and had money,
property, whatever, siezed, that upon the proving of their innocence that
their assets should be automaticly returned... not so. You now have to hire
a lwayer to take it as a civil matter to regain youre assets.

GOD BLESS the land of the "free"... but never mind the 4th and
14th ammendments... GOD told the US gubb"mint" that they weren't
important anymore.

Phil
