I don't know of any sites that are blocked by my ISP, though I've sent them headers in the past day or so from 7 different spam posts I got just from putting my real email address in a usenet posting -- once! They offer all sorts of options for people to deal with spam and viruses and whatnot, and I've got my account set to as close to zero as I can get it. "No filtering" seems not to mean quite what it says in some instances still. PR> I'll see if Juno can get through from this end, or if the bounce PR> message is informative. Got that one too. PR> Got a pair of FIC PT-2200 HX boards you may be interested in, if PR> you're handy with a soldering iron. Not near as handy as I used to be, years ago, and surely not with multilayer boards. The post sounded though as if they may be usable as-is. PR> ... Day-o...Day-ay-ay-o, Daylight come and me want go home. There was once a package that went through one of the file distribution nets called "Dayo". Apparently written in one of the dbase clones, though now I forget which one. It was pretty comprehensive, but it also had some serious design flaws. For example, some of the menus were designed to be used by "clerical" people but those menus still had the option in there to "Zap" the database (clear it out completely)! Among other things... I also remember the song. ---* Origin: TANSTAAFL BBS 717-838-8539 (1:270/615) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 270/615 150/220 379/1 106/1 2000 633/267 |
