yes, google has 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. as public dns servers if you do not
want to use your connection's dns servers... level3 also has some
available... i had a list of them at one time... but i settled on using
either level3 or google... especially after my ISP got stupid and not
returning lookup failures but instead redirection to search pages... lotta
good that does for email servers looking up domains to send email to...
they don't understand http redirection crap and surely don't have a clue
what a search page is all about...
