Hi All, Thanks for all of your help regarding getting the Nth date. Especially to Thos Davies. I still feel I must apologize to everyone for being so unclear as to what I am trying to do. Everyone is telling me I can get duplicate dates in a distinct order query. I am not selecting more than ONE column : SELECT DISTINCT PROCESS_DATE FROM PROC_DATES ORDER BY PROCESS_DATE DESC I do not think it is possible to get a duplicate row from that Query! There are no other attributes or columns! All we want is to get the Nth date from that set where N is an arbitrary, positive integer! Again thanks to all, especially Thos Davies. BTW Thos, I am attempting to implement your suggestions, but it seems neither LIMIT or LAST are DB2/2 V2.11 keywords.
