Sound like a problem with a diskcacheing program or a hardware
conflict. I had a problem and the ide and scsi controller where
using the same I/O range! Talk about strange happenings. Another
time the sound card was using a port the video card was using and
windows would start playing a never ending opening or closing wav
and never shut down! I had to compare the I/O address in the
document to find that!
