G'day Paul,

Replying to a message of Jeff Green to Paul Edwards on 09/05/97:

PE>> So it's set, 4-5pm Saturday + Sunday, I'll be running UUCP. Anyone
PE>> who wants an account to try it out, let me know. BFN. Paul.

JG> I'll try Sunday. Won't be home Saturday.

JG> BTW, this message is a test of the gating software. Somehow I don't
 JG> think it's gunna work.

Well blow me down. It worked! My name converted nicely to
jeff{at}grntrs.dialix.oz.au (I've killed the news copy of that message BTW)
and the message appeared to be a normal news message with all appropriate
headers. I didn't use compression so that I could look at the output.

I've named the gated echoes to alt.avtech, alt.locsysop and alt.locuser. I
thought that was a nice original concept :-)

I don't know what the name conversions will look like for the others. I've
given your system a subdomain name of tml.grntrs.dialix.oz.au. I suppose
I'll see it when I convert my next bunch of packets from John T.

Regards...Jeff (jeff{at}matra.com.au)
