That is a nice feaure, particualrly when first setting up the monitor
for best useage with the Resolution you like. My 17" sonys have those
On Screen Digital Controls.

-> It has a really soft turn on feature in sleep mode that leads me
-> to believe the heater may have it's current reduced when not in use.
                                                                    
I suspect my Sony totaly turns off the filiment totaly when it goes in
to DEEP Sleep as the Warm up time is the same as when turned on Cold.
