Hey, Bill - you ever get on HF?  I've been talking to some stations over in 
that area, nearly every morning - KA5UUQ/Novel in Pasadena, Jeff/N5ECP in the 
Deer Park area, Otis/K5SWK - and there are others in the round table that all 
meet around 8am on 3.880 +/- 5kHz.
Some of us are on AM, some SSB - there's even been CW on that frequency ;-)
Come join us, if not during the week, at least on the weekends.
