It is no secret indeed. And all who paid attention could not have missed
that the main instigator of the failure had an axe to grind with you. To me
it looked like scrapping the proposal was not their main objective but
merely a side effect. I think the main objective was to make *you* fail.

Unfortunately, having shown how easy it is to nuke an attempt at changing
P4, I doubt anyone in his right mind will ever try again. Only an idiot
would want to spend over a year in reaching a compromise only to see it go
down the tubes again in a couple of days by the actions of a hand full of
vindictive individuals. *I* certainly am not going to spend any more time
on it. And I doubt you will be queing up to pull the cart next time
either...

I am afraid we will just have to make do with P4 as it is.
